Accumulator chains have a conveyor roller on every other pitch, which is necessary to allow the product to be conveyed and ensure the smooth running of the chain under the product, during accumulation, without damaging it.
The chain link between the conveyor rollers leaves a large gap, into which small parts might fall and damage the chain or the conveyor system. Depending on the application type, there is also the danger of fingers being able to reach into these gaps and cause injury.
An accumulator chain with AFS clips ensures a trouble-free operation of conveyor and assembly systems and contributes considerably to operational safety, according to the statutory machinery directives. This is due to the flat design of the AFS clip, the gap between the conveyor rollers is completely covered.
The two-piece clip is mounted by snapping it onto the inner link bushing, thus covering the danger zone in the bending range of the chain. Dual-way bending, i.e. with omega drives, is also still possible.
Depending on the application type, conveyor rollers with different diameters made of various materials (Steel, PA 6.6, PA 12 antistatic) can be supplied.
