Products

What do you sell?
TransDev sells a range of power transmission and conveying components. Standard belts, pulleys, chain, sprockets, gears, bearings, linear motion, wear strips & guides, bushes, couplings and other hardware are joined by bespoke manufactured projects, reworked items and plastics.
What brands are you the Authorised Distributor for?
TransDev is an Authorised Distributor for a large and growing list of quality brands as well supplying its own manufactured and labelled products. Current brands include ContiTech, BRECO, Volta, Ferropan, Esband, Wippermann, TYC, Resatec and Perspex.

TransDev is also a member of Mulco. Established as an international Working Group in 1951, Mulco-Europe EWIV has evolved today into the leading European group of manufacturers and sales companies in the field of polyurethane timing belt technology. Partners include ContiTech and BRECO.

How much stock do you hold?
TransDev has 70,000 square feet of production and warehouse space and stocks over 44,000 products. The majority of our stock is held in automated storage and retrieval machines for optimal picking accuracy and space usage.

Quality

How are my goods packaged?
We have an excellent reputation for the quality of our packaging and the accurate fulfilment of kitted products.  Subject to prior agreement we can despatch in TransDev branded packaging, blank packaging or customer’s own labelled packaging. We always closely adhere to instructions provided by customers.
How are goods labelled?
Goods can be clearly labelled with customer part and order numbers. Please ask your TransDev sales contact for information and costs.
What quality assurance do you hold?

How traceable are my goods?
Many products are batch traceable and can be supplied in accordance with REACH, RoHs and WEEE. Full material certification is also available on many items upon request.

Delivery (Stock/Standard Products)

When is the latest I can place an order for next day delivery?
You can place an order anytime up to 4.30pm for a next day delivery of standard items to UK mainland locations (wherever possible).
What is the minimum order value for FREE delivery?
The minimum order value for FREE delivery is £10.00 for TransDev Account holders and £20.00 for other customers. FREE delivery applies to UK mainland deliveries only.
Do you do next day delivery?
Orders for standard items taken before 4.30pm on a weekday (excluding bank holidays and closures) can be delivered next day FREE of charge to UK mainland addresses (wherever possible), dependent on product and availability.
Where do you deliver to?
TransDev deliver goods globally (subject to postal charges, duties and local taxes etc).

How are my goods packaged?

What do I need to supply for a quotation?
As no two projects are the same the following ‘required information’ is for guidance only. The more information you supply the quicker we can provide an accurate quotation;
  • Drawings/models/documentation
  • Material(s)

Do you have a sales representative in my area?
The TransDev external sales team consists of 6 Area Managers and Product Specialists. They regularly visit customers for new enquiries, product support and to provide expert assistance and advice.
How long will my quotation take?
We aim to respond to all enquiries within 2 hours, with either a quotation or a request for further information if we require it. Standard product enquiries are mainly handled within 30 minutes, with more complex product and manufacturing requests taking additional time. 96% of all calls are answered within 20 seconds.

Stock

How much stock do you hold?
TransDev has 70,000 square feet of production and warehouse space and stocks over 44,000 products. We have over £2M of stock and boast a 96% in-stock ratio.
How is your stock managed and picked?
TransDev has over 1600ms of static racking. However, the majority of our stock, over 70%, is held in automated storage and retrieval machines for optimal picking accuracy and space usage. Our sales, production and warehouses share a fully integrated MRP system from order through to despatch.

Kitting

Do you offer pre-defined kits of components?
TransDev’s parts Kitting Service is used to supply complex, multi-level kits of parts to our customers.
How do you manage kitting?
Computer controlled systems ensure all components and assemblies involved in a kit are purchased and kitted together. Our service ensures the kits are produced correctly and in accordance with the customer’s specification at every stage of the process, which is quality controlled to ensure 100% conformance. Technical Services

What expertise do you have?
Our team is made up of qualified Engineers with many years of experience in power transmission, lifting and conveying applications.
What services do you offer?
We use AutoCAD and Solidworks for 2D and 3D CAD design and can assist with your project designs as well as advise on suitable products for unique applications. Learn more.
Can you test products?
We have an in-house testing facility that enables us to conduct destructive testing on belting products manufactured or stocked by TransDev, or those supplied by customers for comparison or failure investigation.

Customer Service

How do you handle Returns?
Returns for parts no longer required will only be accepted by prior agreement and in a saleable condition. Please contact your internal Sales contact before returning items.

For returns of such parts the following handling charge applies:

  • Stock items will be subject to a 25% handling charge.
  • Non stock items and special orders are non-returnable and are unable to be accepted for credit.

What do I do if my TransDev product breaks down outside of TransDev office opening hours?
TransDev can offer a 24 hour service on stock products and can immediately manufacture and dispatch made-to-order products in a machine breakdown situation.

Returns & Refunds

Payment & Terms

What methods of payment do you accept?
Eligible customers can apply for trade terms and an account with TransDev. We also accept all major credit cards, excluding American Express and Diners Club. We also cannot accept payments via Paypal.
Can I buy online?
TransDev can currently process your order via telephone, fax or email. Customers will also shortly be able to place orders online. More information will be available soon on this latest development.
