Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to strengthen the growth of the business and to support laying the foundations of the quality culture. The new Quality Engineer will be focusing on identifying and implementing root cause actions following product failures. He/she will investigate product non-conformances that arise from the shop floor or from customers and will be liaising with our suppliers in case of bought in product/ raw material failure. Day-to-day duties will include reviewing customer returns, providing customers with investigation reports and managing the calibration system.
It is an ideal opportunity for somebody who is looking to broaden their quality skills as the role bridges between quality assurance and process quality for ensuring continuous improvements.

20 days (plus bank holidays), rising at 1 day per year to a max of 25 days after 5 years continuous service.

Required Skills:

Excellent problem solving skills, hands-on approach, understanding of engineering drawings, attention to details, initiative, being able to work independently, strong written and verbal communication skills, and good computer literacy.

Desired Skills:

Internal auditing experience, understanding of Lean Sigma principles, use of manual inspection equipment, experience in ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Relevant Experience:

Proven experience of working to ISO 9001 QMS in a QA/QC type role.

Existing Qualifications (Edu/Certs/Driving):

ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
