| NT type automatic chain tensioners are mechanical devices to maintain the correct tension in a chain drive and thus increase its life. In automatically compensating for chain stretch the NT automatic chain tensioner also considerably reduces drive vibration and noise. The NT automatic chain tensioner is truly 'fit & forget' enabling high drive reliability and very low maintenance costs. The unit consists of an aluminium body with two bushed, spring-loaded, zinc plated steel shafts sliding inside the sealed body. The tensioning head with its unique low drag, low wear profile is made of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. Maximum operating temperature of +65°C. Stainless steel (AISI304) models are available upon request.
