Job Description:
As part of the Accounts and Administration team you will report directly to the Finance Director, who is also one of the business owners. Your role will be pivotal as we introduce new IT systems and improve our processes. Your responsibilities will cover;
- Full hands on preparation of the monthly management accounts, including commentary
- Margin Analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT Returns
- Full hands on preparation of the monthly management accounts, including commentary
- Good stock and margin analysis background with an experienced understanding of variances
- Internal and External monthly reports
- Process improvement
- Adhoc finance duties such as payroll to assist the Finance Director and wider Accounts and Administration team
- ERP (Accounts function) deployment and subsequent ownership

Required Skills:
- Management accounting experience within a finance function, with experience of budgeting and monitoring complex activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills
- Significant experience of using IT systems, such as Sage and ERP solutions
- Strong Excel and computer skills, Excel, pivot charts, v-lookups, Graph population (stock specialist systems would be advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience managing and deploying ERPs, such as Epicor/Oracle/SAP an advantage
- Distribution and stock experience
Relevant Experience:
Previous experience working in owner managed SME environment (Previous payroll experience would be advantageous)
Existing Qualifications (Edu/Certs/Driving):
- Good educational standard with minimum GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. A good honours degree or equivalent qualification is desirable
- Qualified in a recognized Accountancy Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
