BRECO now offers silicone as a backing material for BRECO® and BRECOFLEX® timing belts. Silicone is suitable for use in many different areas due to its properties. It has a high friction coefficient, is dirt-repelling, resistant to water and chemicals, and is FDA approved. It has a hardness of 30-35 Shore A. However, the offer is subject to technical requirements.

The possible timing belt lengths range from 200 to 11,000 mm. There is a minimum backing width of 300 mm. Individual belts must have a minimum width of 100 mm. This requirement means that the backing has to be applied to at least 2 timing belts with a width of 150 mm each or 3 timing belts with a width of 100 mm each. The belts can only be cut into narrower widths once the backing has been applied. Backing thicknesses are possible between 0.5 and 5 mm. Further information, prices and delivery times on request.
