TransDev Sausage Belts
‘The major cause of premature failure is unskilled staff running belts in the wrong direction after cleaning. Moulded backings stop this problem’
Synchronous, FDA approved material, moulded belt backings for sausage machines. With a moulded backing, having no overlap joint, belts can run in either direction, with no risk of delamination.
Properties;
- Moulded backing, no joint to delaminate
- No adhesive layer to be attacked and degraded by cleaning
- Can be run in either direction
- Standard or low friction tooth facing on belts
- Food quality rubber
- Low elongation – Aramid tension members
- Long life – high resistance to tears/cuts
- Contact materials approved to – FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 (USA)

‘Tictac’ Sausage Belts
Single Moulded FDA Sausage Belt (Tictac)
There is a growing need for food quality timing belts where the product is in direct contact with and transported by the belt itself. The solution, which is named after the look of the belt surface, is the Tictac belt.
The advantage of this belt type is its construction, which consists of one durable layer. This avoids any danger of the cover wearing or delaminating, thereby extending the lifetime of the product and reducing expensive downtime.
The belt is available in several T5 and T10 endless sizes. (See table below).
Properties;
- Made of environmentally friendly FDA material
- Stainless steel cord reinforcement
- Hardness: is 80 Shore A
- Operating temperature of 80°C (up to 100°C on short runs)
- Performs well at low temperatures
- Very good resistance to hydrolysis
- Good resistance to abrasion
- Good resistance to oil, solvents and hydrocarbons
- Load equivalent to standard PU timing belts
