Introduction to Plastics
TransDev Plastics is the dedicated plastics division of Transmission Developments Co. (GB) Ltd.
Our Plastic division was created approximately 35 years ago to machine components from sheet U.H.M.W. Pe and is now a major supplier nationwide of such items as Chain and Belt Guides, bespoke machined parts as well as engineering and display Plastics.
With our experience of Plastics, stocking/distribution and our reputation for good service, you can depend on TransDev Plastics for all your semi-finished engineering Plastics, display Plastics or machined component requirements.
The TransDev Plastics division has three areas of operation:
Transplas machined stock shapes
Covering primarily PolyethyleneWear Strip materials and a vast range of extruded profiles.Machined stock shapes include:
- Chain guides
- Belt guides
- Metal support profiles
Engineering plastics
Covering semi-finished rod and sheet materials; including:
- Polyethylene
- Nylons
- Acetal
- PTFE and others
Display plastic stock range
- Perspex and Policril Acrylic sheets
- Polycarbonate
- PETG
- Sheet for the sign and print industry

Our telephone sales staff have the latest computerised stock control and order entry system and are fully conversant with engineering and display Plastics.
We offer a prompt service backed by a next day delivery on most products.
TransDev have been machinists of Belt guides, Chain guides andWear strips for many years and have extensive knowledge of Plastic materials. We are able to give assistance on materials, machining and handling.
