NEW Thermoplastic Hose Ranges

NEW Thermoplastic Hose Ranges

Vacupress Series

The biggest step in the evolution of thermoplastic hoses in recent times has been achieved by combining Armorvin technology with braided hose technology.

This innovation has led to the introduction of the first real thermoplastic suction and delivery hose, which is even transparent! This construction has enabled the production of hoses suitable for applications that previously relied solely on rubber hoses. Various versions of these hoses are made using PVC, mixtures of PVC and PU, or thermoplastic rubbers.

Armorvin Series

The steel wire is preformed into a spiral shape and introduced into an extrusion head, where molten PVC material is pushed through, enveloping the steel spiral in a single run.

By varying the flexibility, grade of materials (food or industrial), pitch, size of the spirals, and the total weight of the hose, different versions of Armorvin and Metalflex have been developed over the years. The automation of production lines, including automated cutting, has enabled high output at competitive cost levels.

America Series

A basic spiralled hose consists of a plasticised PVC wall and a rigid spiral.

The two molten materials are conveyed into an extrusion head, pushed through a die, and the profile is wound around a mandrel to form the hose wall. The hot extruded profile, due to its shape, overlaps with the next turn and is squeezed by a roller, welding together to create the hose. By first extruding a flat profile on the mandrel, a hose with an inner liner is produced. Various compatible materials can be used for specific purposes, such as abrasion resistance, friction characteristics, or color contrast. Additionally, a copper wire can be included for earthing to dissipate any static build-up.

Spiral Air Series

A basic spiraled hose consists of a plasticised PVC wall and a rigid spiral.

The two molten materials are conveyed into an extrusion head, pushed through a die, and the profile is wound around a mandrel to form the hose wall. The hot extruded profile, due to its shape, overlaps with the next turn and is squeezed by a roller, welding together to create the hose. By choosing polyethylene, PVC, polyurethane, or mixtures thereof for the flexible wall, or by using additives, hoses with different characteristics can be produced. Whether it’s chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, food quality, or odor neutrality, solutions for most applications can be found. Additionally, a copper wire can be included for earthing to dissipate any static build-up.

Superflex Series

By extruding a polyurethane tape or profile and combining it with a steel wire, which is generally copper-coated or PU-covered for better adhesion, these components are brought together by tooling and welded with hot air.

By varying the thickness of the profiles, we can create lighter or stronger hoses. Using different types of polyurethanes and additives, we can impart specific characteristics to the final product, such as food quality, flame retardancy, antistatic properties, and extra UV resistance. The SUPERFLEX product portfolio ranges from light ducting for dust, fumes, granules, and light abrasion applications to extra reinforced hoses for demanding uses like transferring rocks, pebbles, sand, and cement, meeting the diverse needs of industrial customers.

Braided Hose Series

An inner hose is formed by extrusion and kept open by air.

It is then fed through a braiding machine with two reels of multiple spools of polyester yarn, which turn in opposite directions to create cross-braiding. The braided inner hose passes through an extrusion head, where the outer layer is applied. By using polyurethane or mixtures of PVC, different versions with specific characteristics, such as oil resistance, abrasion resistance, antistatic, or conductive features, are produced to suit special applications.

Jamaica Lay Flat Series

An inner hose is formed by extrusion and kept open by air.

It is then fed through a braiding machine with two reels of multiple spools of polyester yarn, which turn in opposite directions to create cross-braiding. The braided inner hose passes through an extrusion head, where the outer layer is applied. The finished hose is then flattened and coiled. By using different materials, variations with specific characteristics are produced to suit various applications

Spiral Guard Series

This product was designed to protect a single hose or bundle, as well as multiple hoses and cables.

By extruding a profile in a rigid thermoplastic material onto a mandrel and maintaining the correct distance between each turn, a spiral is formed. This Spiral Guard allows for the addition or removal of a single hose or cable without disassembling any fittings. By using different materials and creating various profiles, a range of “Spiralina” products is available, each with specific features for different applications. It is a truly universal product used in many industries.
