Polyurethane Timing Belts Introduction

Polyurethane Timing Belts Introduction

The manufacturing process used for TransDev PU polyurethane timing belts produces close tolerance timing belts, which ensure the even distribution of load during use and will allow the transmission of high torques. Due to the high accuracy of these drives, they are also suitable for indexing, positioning and conveying drives.

Synchronous running and low elongation, coupled with maintenance-free operation makes the TransDev PU polyurethane timing belts range the ideal means of power transmission.

Timing pulleys can be supplied in conjunction with TransDev timing belts as complete drives. As well as a popular stock range, TransDev can manufacture special pulleys to drawing in all pitches and profiles. Standard material for timing pulleys is free-machining aluminium alloy (6082-T6). Other materials such as steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron and various Plastics are also available.

Application areas

TransDev PU polyurethane timing belts are suitable for use in all industries where the synchronous transmission of angular motion is required. They are therefore suitable for all types of power transmission, indexing, positioning and conveying e.g:

  • Office machinery
  • Data processing machinery
  • Food processing machinery
  • Textile machinery
  • Woodworking machinery
  • Machine tools

TransDev offers several types of PU polyurethane timing belt:
