Superflex Series Hoses
Formerly Merlett Superflex Series Hoses
Superflex Series Hoses (Flexible Ducting) from Continental (Contitech) were previously known as Merlett Superflex Hoses.
They are typically produced by the extrusion of a Polyurethane tape or profile, which is brought together with a steel wire, which generally is copper coated or, for the heavier versions, also PU covered to give the best possible adhesion.
As well as suction, delivery and ducting of dust, chips, food and abrasive materials. some more specialist applications for specific Superflex Hoses and flexible ducting include movement of hot air and fumes, use in environments where antisatic properties are a requirement and conformity to ATEX* directives for potentially explosive environments.
*ATEX is a crucial aspect of ensuring worker safety and preventing damage in environments where flammable gases, vapors, or dusts may be present. Always refer to individual hose ‘directions for use’ before purchasing.
