Stainless Steel Maintenance Free Chain
The stainless version of the Marathon chain is particularly suited for areas of application in which ease of maintenance is a key factor in addition to availability, operational safety and reliability. With the new polymer bearing TRIGLEIT II, the MARATHON RF stainless steel maintenance free chain offers an exceptionally long service life, even without re-lubrication. It proves its strengths in application areas with permanent water contact or dry running operations.
Results of long-term wear tests
Features for Simplex, Duplex and Triplex include:
- Durable low friction bearings (TRIGLEIT)
- Maximum chain speed V= 2.5 m/sec
- Chain dimensions to DIN 8187, no re-lubrication required (lube-free chain)
- Attachment chains available
- Stainless Steel components
- Temperature range -30˚C to 60˚C (Higher possible)
- Compatible with Stainless Steel sprockets
- Re-lubrication with mineral oils possible
- Chemical resistance information on request

Can also be supplied with attachments, straight plates (type series GL) and as double pitch roller chains (dimensions according to DIN 8181).
Chains 548 available as type series GLS with plate height g = 21 mm (max.) and as type series GL with g = 24 mm (max.). Sprockets on request.
